1. Local Privacy and User Autonomy
Maya Surya is developed under a strict protocol of user autonomy and privacy. Your location and celestial-time information belong exclusively to you.
Astronomical calculations and precise location coordinates are processed on your device. When you choose to create an account or purchase a subscription, limited account and transaction information is processed by the service providers described below.
2. Location Processing (GPS)
To synchronize the interface with your actual astronomical position on Earth, the application may request access to the device's location sensors. This supports true solar time, planetary angles, lunar phases, and the synthesis of Mantras and Ghatis.
- On-device processing: Latitude, longitude, and elevation are processed locally by the integrated astronomy engine.
- No external transmission: These coordinates are not sent to Maya Surya, third parties, or cloud servers for these calculations.
- Local persistence: The last selected coordinates may be stored only in the secure local storage of your device to speed up recurring calculations.
3. Cookies and Web Storage
The Maya Surya web version uses browser local storage only for technical purposes:
- Maintaining your interface preferences.
- Storing the last selected or calculated location so astronomical charts can render without unnecessary delay.
We do not use advertising-tracking cookies or technologies intended to monitor your behavior outside our platform.
4. Third-Party Services
Maya Surya does not integrate advertising networks or use data for cross-app tracking. The Wear OS watch face and applications communicate locally within your Android ecosystem through native operating-system APIs.
Firebase Authentication processes account identifiers and authentication information when you sign in with Google, Apple, or another supported method. RevenueCat processes purchase status and subscription identifiers so the application can provide and restore Pro access. Payments are processed by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies; Maya Surya does not receive your full payment-card details.
5. Account and Data Deletion
Maya Surya provides a straightforward method to request deletion of your account and associated data.
Maya Surya uses Firebase Authentication for secure registration and access for Pro/Premium users. To request account closure and permanent data deletion:
- Inside the application: Open Settings, scroll to the account section, select DELETE ACCOUNT AND DATA, and confirm the dialog.
- From the web: If you do not have the application installed, email mayasuryadeva@gmail.com from your registered address. Requests are processed within a maximum of 48 business hours.
- Data deleted: Firebase Authentication user identifiers and credentials, locally stored profile and chart history, and customized interface preferences.
- Limited retention: Anonymous financial transaction records may be retained only for the period required by applicable tax regulations and remain disconnected from your identity.
